How to Get Tuition Payments ON-TIME (BETA)

Sign up for The Secret to Enforcing your Childcare Payment Policy

If you are anything like me, you know how frustrating it is to have to chase payments. I want to be paid when payment is due, but sometimes parents just don't follow the rules. But approaching parents about tuition payments can feel uncomfortable and even intimidating for a provider. What do I say? What if they say they don't have the money or get mad?

When I first started my childcare business, parents would routinely submit payments late. I needed to get this under control, but how? What I needed was to develop a system for ensuring tuition payments where submitted on-time, but without needing to have the awkward exchanges with clients all the time. I didn't want to lose clients. I just wanted to be paid.

After what felt like hundreds of trips back and forth to the bank, I finally created a system for getting clients to pay on-time almost 100% of the time, and now I want to share my NO-STRESS process with you. I'll share the exact formula I use throughout the course so you can follow along and get your clients to pay you on-time too.

Here's what we'll cover:

By the end of this course, students will have and know how to enforce their childcare payment policy. You'll be able to customize and communicate your policy to clients. You'll also be able to confidently address violators with meaningful consequences. Lastly, you won't need to worry about chasing payments every week.

This course is for you if:

  • You are a childcare provider who has clients that don't pay on-time every week.
  • You don't know how to communicate or enforce your payment policy.
  • You don't have a plan for addressing violators and imposing consequences for late payments.
  • You want to address the issue but don't want to offend and/or lose clients.
  • You are frustrated and don't know what to do!

Running a childcare business can be challenging. Getting paid shouldn't be!

Here are the topics covered:

  • Module 1: Develop and/or refine your policy. In this module, you'll develop or define your custom childcare payment policy.
  • Module 2: Notify your clients. With the policy in place, we will cover just how to advise your clients how to comply with the policy.
  • Module 3: How are payments made? In this module, we will consider various ways payments could be submitted and which ones are right for your business.
  • Module 4: Consequences. We want to deter late or outstanding tuition payments, so in this module, we will put in place specific actions taken for late payers.
  • Module 5: Exceptions. There might be times when an exception is in order. In this module, we will define just when an exception could be made and the what that would look like.
  • Module 6: Incentives. Many people respond to incentives, especially if it will save them money. Here we will discuss a few you might consider offering as a part of your payment policy.
  • Module 7: Review & Revise. We will go over when you should revisit your policy and possibly make changes.
